Drop the rope

I am neither rich nor poor, I have opted to serve more than follow, I am no saint nor are my setbacks unbearable. I have heard the bias truths of many and the great words of far too few. I have observed in silence with hope and decided to risk a moment to speak
As a middle of the road independent I take a stand and project, the great problems of this planet can only ultimately be realized by minds of similar willingness to determine acceptable middle ground.
The unfortunate setback to this circumstance, for we who accept this lable, is obscurity within serious political debate and a tendency to be run over by both philosophical extremes whose well funded rhetoric drives the heavy machinery that quashes any and all voices who would tread this ever thinning centrist line.
There are solutions available to social and economic instability, when the tables set for discussion are in the proverbial round. Arthur had it right in this regard. No human has greater interest than I and I no more than any other, in the positive outcomes of this world. We all derive the ultimate justice for what actions we have dealt to what future we collectively attain.
Extremism is the truest enemy to beware, on all aspects of every human spectrum, as these objectives consistantly emphasize eradication of any oppositional action seen to weaken the pull to a single direction.
The stalemate and consequent inertia of humanities tug-o-war have driven a spike into the flag of all progress. While vast fortunes are built upon the edges of the weighted rope, what awaits the masses, when finally the strand can hold no more and tension snaps our grasp of sanity? Millions have, and the majority will, drown in the mud and chaos.
Drop the rope that draws us to the pit. Stand round it's edge and fill it in with ideas and action that build concensus. Call out those who, with fear, retake the rope, yet ease their grasp with a listening heart, forgiveness and inspiration devoid of judgement.
Sadly, many unable to loose their savage linear foothold and unlock a circular approaches healing potential would, through selfish resolve, blindly attempt to promote violent restraint upon this idea. The sacrifice to stand true would bring no mercy in it's initial stages. We have known centuries at odds. The need to prune these frozen edges may be a tragically unifying and an unavoidible requirement to allow for peace.
The center is the hardest work, the truest aim, the strongest bond, and the holiest fire. The danger for mankind is very real. The weight of division increases by the hour. Drop the rope, seek all wisdom. Sift the earth for logic and hope.
Ambition and wealth have not bred the greatest perspectives as theirs are quite often bent to the idols of self interest and less the pulse that drives the whole of mankind. There are no saviors here but their sound philosophies. In this potentially final call, we must awake and save ourselves

The Pros

Pro-Life, Pro-Choice, and just plain  Pro-extreme. Of late, these seem to be the preferred opinion battle choices of America's abortion debate other than, like myself, complete Pro-ignorance.
I, as an older white male of our species, with no life mate, no natural born kids, and no particular religious affiliation, unappologetically opted out of what I viewed as other peoples concerns. Some very close to me now are forcing my need to pay attention and it is for the love of them, I suppose I should seek some greater truths.
My limited understanding of the two main views are that those espousing Pro-life are ultimately holding embryo's as imbedded autonomous beings, from conception, inside the mother's womb and my understanding of Pro-choice is that embryo's are to be considered formative tissues of a woman without independent life consideration and justifiably dispensible up to a certain standard of time and sentiant consciousness.
There seem a great many honorable and highly motivated participants on both sides of this matter as to what is or is not accepted to be life and encompassing far more than just the simple science or suggested sacred natures of it.
I personally love a kids mind much more than most adults in the world and am happy all the ones Ive met were born. I have in my long travels to wisdom, as a youth treatment center supervisor, also come to know the often tumultuous lives of some young unattached women. Women with options of existence, both prior to and sadly beyond treatment, so depressing that opting out of existing seemed preferable to bringing another life into it. Therein lies my personal frustration. Love and pity for both sides and a distain for the politically motivated extremists in each hard direction.
Woman should certainly be at the vanguard of all consideration, yet active participation in proliferation of the population (or not), must allow for responsible men to also attest, in at least an advisory capacity, as well.
The pro-extremest views of one extreme of offing kids outside the womb or the others, basically offing physicians lives, through incarceration, for keeping mothers from offing themselves. Each extreme seems to have done more for setting both sides further into the graveyard than resurrecting any justice from her limited consensus tomb. Soon the far left will allow for the disposal of there politically unacceptible teens and the far right arresting and incarcerating any wasteful spark of life's discharge from any unrighteous, unsanctioned male genitalia.
Let us hope wiser minds prevail and people will choose to have kids when they want to and know better how not to have them quicker when kids are not part of the plan.
In closing and with just my, less informed but still valid male opinion, Hell yes! special accommodation should be made for horrific circumstance beyond a womans control. Rape, Incest, Threat to life, my brain and heart speak it to me so.
May all who make what final legalities stand, do so with as much love, respect and mercy available to those who will feel lost and vanquished, for it has been a long and bloody war.
