If a Messiah came to us now, not overtly as a god, but a complex being of great authority whose sole power was millenniums of wisdom alone, would we listen?
What would be said to change our hearts?
What words would heal our warring souls?
What media might allow the message to be heard?
Facebook, Twitter, Cable news?
Would lost and often angry multitudes turn as one on the basis of intelligence without water turning to wine or a burning bush?
Would the choice "to save" be a present house of worship, or sector of society, excluding the remainder of mankind or influence all, simply to believe?
Would this Messiah be black, white, or a shade between?
Could we open ourselves to one unfamiliar to our expectation?
Could we leap through our own fiery rings of cynicism and follow "the truth"?
Would the line between good and evil, saved or damned become instantly clear or would there be a time allowed to alter course as realization sets in?
Would this be a repeat Messiah to the world or a fresh arrival?
Would He be
A He?
Would we know? Would we see?
Would we stand and testify with strength of conviction or hold aside and fear the backlash should we commit?
Messiah is the most potentially dangerous or glorious decision allowed to a hero starving mankind.
Are you ready? Aware?
Am I?
