All A Mine

When my extremely possessive son was smaller he used to get irritated with me when others asked "Do you have kids?", I would answer "yes" and to the natural follow up "how many?" I'll forever answer "They're all mine". He understands now why I've said this and how important it is to me that everyone feel this way to some extent.
Whenever you, as an adult, are in the proximity of a child, the physical welfare of that child is shared by you whether you like it or not. If there is a circumstance of imminent peril or even a perception of potential threat, it is upon you and other responsible adults to back up the biologically attached adult so long as that adult is not the aforementioned threat. I do not fawn and coo over the ill tempered snotty little viral pygmies every time one enters a room, but I am consistently aware of their presence and whether they're being kept track of. The world has so many dangers now that can damage so quickly aside from potential human threat and it's upon us to always be prepared to assist.

On the matter of human threat, I am no whiner when it comes to corporal punishment when fairly administered and I am the furthest thing from a volunteer babysitter on the planet, but thrust evil upon a defenseless little one in my presence and all will understand the full malice of a Scot's blood fury. I am not holy, in my overt love for the least of these my brethren. One may not even know I care about the puss caked wee little piss bombs, but kidnap, molest, brutalize, or attempt to kill an innocent near me and if I am at all able, it will take the miracles of Moses to mend your broken bones.

I write this in response to a CNN article concerning the kidnap and torture of a six year old boy in Falujah Iraq by Islamic extremists. The boy was the son of a policeman who had the potential authority to release other terrorists, on threat to his sons life. This incredibly strong willed man refused to release murderers back into the streets, knowing full well his son would likely die. Rather than kill the boy, these psychopathic degenerates in the name of Allah spent the next two years ruthlessly torturing a six year old boy, the horrible likes of which are difficult to comprehend. The boy was ultimately saved but told how these grown men laughed as they pulled out his tiny fingernails and teeth, broke both his arms with a shovel, and drove nails into his legs for sport. A SIX YEAR OLD BOY! I am at this juncture of life not capable of physically resolving what must be done to eradicate this filth from our planet, but I damn well cheer the forces that must end such demonic fervor. I am quite certain now that a just and merciful Allah will vomit this ever increasing offshoot tribe of pestilence into the mother of all Muslim Hells.

Of Protest and Peace

In 1989, I was equally terrified and inspired by a Chinese dissident who, in protest, stood alone on worldwide network television, insanely justified, before a column of loaded, rolling, Communist tanks, in perhaps the most suicidally unarmed act of momentary singular freedom my world had seen since Jesus accepted the cross.

The world was not terrified of him, but for him. To this day, I have never heard any information, other than his act, to confirm or suggest his whereabouts or physical condition. From that day to this, I have agreed with his political position and respected his action. With arms held in wide supplication, a lone figure in white, unarmed but for the thundering visions of a silenced voice, hurled his belief to all the borders of his known world, blocking ordered tanks about to strike.

Had he had a few drinks? We will likely never know. I myself might have had to have had many more.

Protest should never be an act of terror, but any physical or verbal action which highlights and demands, with unarmed, open-handed determination, the basic human right to be fairly treated and intelligently heard.

Even if the layered creations of another's misconstrued world views have taken them to belief systems far removed from our own, we in America have the constitutional obligation to allow forbearance in an opponent's peaceful expression to be, just as often, likely wrong or right.

A man I do not know, a man who just yesterday stood as a singular voice of protest, unarmed, hands out, occasionally raising a rude finger, and face completely open, before thousands of Trump train wheels in my neighboring town of St. George, Utah, exercised his protected right to protest.

I likely am in clear opposition to his point of view. What I respect in this instance is a man who made a peaceful, unarmed protest under his constitutionally protected human right to do so. Additionally, though being severely memed (Biden sniffing his hair, very funny), and potentially far more endangered, he committed no act of violence and no member of the Trump Train made this man or his voice disappear.

If his reasons for this action had any history in what fact-based information he has allowed himself to swallow, we in opposition ought to give a fair hearing and attempt to better create a more sumptuous democracy for enjoining this peacefully defiant man and similarly opposing masses in our enjoyment of its plentiful feast.

I want this fellow to one day reemerge in his convictions, dining on my side at the growing table of freedom and patriotism for a successful American democratic survival and its positive worldwide proliferation. Together in prosperity. Together in peace.

Dark, Black and Evolution

Darkness in my dictionary is a state of evil intent or worse, evil eventually turned to action. Black is simply a beautiful color. Darkness I equate today, in no way with Black, though darkness has mimicked itself in many human shades. These defining separate concepts took time, effort, empathy, and compassion in many others eyes to find lasting impact in me and far too many others. Personally, for that, I apologize to anyone, I have, in darkness, misunderstood. As a meer stub holder in the theatrical observerce to much of our earths prior global and social conflicts and the product of a fair amount of erroneous early on education, my life has, in its own stumbling time, found greater truths as well as diabolical fictions. Time has created someone with whom I am now most intimately aquainted and whose brain I have closely watched evolve toward ultimately finding a stable lasting peace, most selfishly, his own, me. In this sense, whats mine is yours, whats yours is mine, seems a current best use of the word, peace.
Carry on in peace all Blackness.
Evolve and Understand
Blackness Matters
Blackness in every shade to the Ultra Pale is for me a Beauty
All should turn from Darkness.

Evolution is a thing! A thing in which I find a greater comfort, personally realizing it as the most vital of internal improvement concepts desired. Less so those opposing, beyond limitless intellectual expanse and into the repetative historical insanities of physical, mental, and spiritual destructions. Destruction suddenly fully realized again and again, in the often horrific agonies of a raging and often violently rapid Re-Evolution. A Re-evolution without forgiveness and empathy, where intellect has been irrepairably thrust to extinction, by revolutionary anger or at mother natures disrespectful command. Evolve or be forced to Re-evolve seem to be the menu options. Continue please, I pray, Evolve to peace.
All should turn from Darkness

Drop the rope

I am neither rich nor poor, I have opted to serve more than follow, I am no saint nor are my setbacks unbearable. I have heard the bias truths of many and the great words of far too few. I have observed in silence with hope and decided to risk a moment to speak
As a middle of the road independent I take a stand and project, the great problems of this planet can only ultimately be realized by minds of similar willingness to determine acceptable middle ground.
The unfortunate setback to this circumstance, for we who accept this lable, is obscurity within serious political debate and a tendency to be run over by both philosophical extremes whose well funded rhetoric drives the heavy machinery that quashes any and all voices who would tread this ever thinning centrist line.
There are solutions available to social and economic instability, when the tables set for discussion are in the proverbial round. Arthur had it right in this regard. No human has greater interest than I and I no more than any other, in the positive outcomes of this world. We all derive the ultimate justice for what actions we have dealt to what future we collectively attain.
Extremism is the truest enemy to beware, on all aspects of every human spectrum, as these objectives consistantly emphasize eradication of any oppositional action seen to weaken the pull to a single direction.
The stalemate and consequent inertia of humanities tug-o-war have driven a spike into the flag of all progress. While vast fortunes are built upon the edges of the weighted rope, what awaits the masses, when finally the strand can hold no more and tension snaps our grasp of sanity? Millions have, and the majority will, drown in the mud and chaos.
Drop the rope that draws us to the pit. Stand round it's edge and fill it in with ideas and action that build concensus. Call out those who, with fear, retake the rope, yet ease their grasp with a listening heart, forgiveness and inspiration devoid of judgement.
Sadly, many unable to loose their savage linear foothold and unlock a circular approaches healing potential would, through selfish resolve, blindly attempt to promote violent restraint upon this idea. The sacrifice to stand true would bring no mercy in it's initial stages. We have known centuries at odds. The need to prune these frozen edges may be a tragically unifying and an unavoidible requirement to allow for peace.
The center is the hardest work, the truest aim, the strongest bond, and the holiest fire. The danger for mankind is very real. The weight of division increases by the hour. Drop the rope, seek all wisdom. Sift the earth for logic and hope.
Ambition and wealth have not bred the greatest perspectives as theirs are quite often bent to the idols of self interest and less the pulse that drives the whole of mankind. There are no saviors here but their sound philosophies. In this potentially final call, we must awake and save ourselves

The Pros

Pro-Life, Pro-Choice, and just plain  Pro-extreme. Of late, these seem to be the preferred opinion battle choices of America's abortion debate other than, like myself, complete Pro-ignorance.
I, as an older white male of our species, with no life mate, no natural born kids, and no particular religious affiliation, unappologetically opted out of what I viewed as other peoples concerns. Some very close to me now are forcing my need to pay attention and it is for the love of them, I suppose I should seek some greater truths.
My limited understanding of the two main views are that those espousing Pro-life are ultimately holding embryo's as imbedded autonomous beings, from conception, inside the mother's womb and my understanding of Pro-choice is that embryo's are to be considered formative tissues of a woman without independent life consideration and justifiably dispensible up to a certain standard of time and sentiant consciousness.
There seem a great many honorable and highly motivated participants on both sides of this matter as to what is or is not accepted to be life and encompassing far more than just the simple science or suggested sacred natures of it.
I personally love a kids mind much more than most adults in the world and am happy all the ones Ive met were born. I have in my long travels to wisdom, as a youth treatment center supervisor, also come to know the often tumultuous lives of some young unattached women. Women with options of existence, both prior to and sadly beyond treatment, so depressing that opting out of existing seemed preferable to bringing another life into it. Therein lies my personal frustration. Love and pity for both sides and a distain for the politically motivated extremists in each hard direction.
Woman should certainly be at the vanguard of all consideration, yet active participation in proliferation of the population (or not), must allow for responsible men to also attest, in at least an advisory capacity, as well.
The pro-extremest views of one extreme of offing kids outside the womb or the others, basically offing physicians lives, through incarceration, for keeping mothers from offing themselves. Each extreme seems to have done more for setting both sides further into the graveyard than resurrecting any justice from her limited consensus tomb. Soon the far left will allow for the disposal of there politically unacceptible teens and the far right arresting and incarcerating any wasteful spark of life's discharge from any unrighteous, unsanctioned male genitalia.
Let us hope wiser minds prevail and people will choose to have kids when they want to and know better how not to have them quicker when kids are not part of the plan.
In closing and with just my, less informed but still valid male opinion, Hell yes! special accommodation should be made for horrific circumstance beyond a womans control. Rape, Incest, Threat to life, my brain and heart speak it to me so.
May all who make what final legalities stand, do so with as much love, respect and mercy available to those who will feel lost and vanquished, for it has been a long and bloody war.

Love Match

I will not stop love, it cannot be stopped, I can only try to redirect the too early and/or unrequited illicit applications of it. I have failed and triumphed with much of love in my life. I would seek forgiveness of those whose thoughts of love did not in there time match my own, yet seek greater even still, those whose love is sure that I have unfortunately disappointed.
The highest love I see is that of respectful equals, at all times. Time seems the needed levan in that most holy oven, both physically and metaphysically.
I am old enough and used up enough to know there are levels to love and a witness to myriads of variations more.
I have in my, ahem! prime, come to understand the inspired need for love. Connection at a cost? Connection at a benefit? I find love A human trait that finds its greatest truth of expression in its balance, rather than bravado or basic instinct. True love is a gifted match of time, balance, and energy, that would find envy in a Tesla equation. I find no flaw in the truth of it, just the often cruel and clueless pretenders to it.

Soul What?

I thought to the meaning I could draw from the name of my sons great band,
Soul What?

What comes to mind is a fusion of spirit and science called string theory.
String theory, the most imaginative and beautiful thought that others have ever thought about.

Vibrating energy strings, at the least scientifically possible location of quantum measure. Humanity at it's very deepest core are empowered by Music.

I have loved the soulful sounds and rythmically precise tones of great music for many years, and am potentially only half way done. Can't imagine what great vibration combinations are out there still to come.

I truly believe that fusion of the rythmes of String Theory in reality, are the best hope for prompting a World to Peace and discovery of soul. God bless and keep, earths timeless musical hippies who have known it all along.

Though I have come to truly love so much music, for drawing my tears, it is Amazing Grace on bigpipes, (I wept like a babe when Spock first perished), and enjoying great talent both with and by those I love.

For others, Country, Rap, Jazz, or Pan Flutes, mixing beat boxes, banjos, or big base drums are their triggers. Emotionally symphonic energy potential lives everywhere.

My job with teens makes my appreciation for this string theory constantly expand. Young children of proud Native America have shared the vibration of their heritage with me. Makes my teeth grind, but what I see in their eyes makes me vibrate. There is so much respect and connection, I weep as if the bagpipes were wailing my own screeching refrains. Peace in our time.

Andre Bocelli  crosses all borders, dude could vibrate the dead. He should be humanities, believers in string theory, planetary ambassador.

I was not a fan of Rap. I was bred of different drums, but was introduced to a fusion album by The Black Keys and an ass load of rap singers. Love the Black Keys and by this fusion of String Theory vibrations with my own vibrational world and the willingness to mix away rap world, made Turn Blue by the Black Keys, my personal peace with Rap. Guess, I was wrong, I like some Rap.

Point is we all vibrate, based on heritage, appreciation and fusion choices,
along the way.

String Theory, I am a big fan of this particularly promising and theoretically saving way, toward that which constitutes my answer to
Soul What?
